Experienced Engineer with stormwater management design & AutoCAD Civil 3D Skills
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer with strong AutoCAD Civil 3D skills to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in land development, stormwater management design, and familiarity with NJDEP regulations. This role offers not only the chance to work on a variety of challenging projects, but also the potential to become a New Jersey Licensed Professional Engineer, provide expert testimony at planning and zoning board hearings, and explore management opportunities within the company.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of land development projects, including site layouts, grading plans, and utility designs using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Oversee the design and implementation of stormwater management systems, ensuring compliance with NJDEP regulations.
- Collaborate with project managers, surveyors, and other engineers.
- Prepare detailed engineering reports, calculations, and permit applications.
- Conduct research on zoning, environmental, and regulatory requirements for project sites.
- Potential to join company management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Extensive experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is required.
- Strong background in civil engineering, particularly in land development and stormwater management.
- Familiarity with NJDEP stormwater regulations is essential.
- Current PE licensure in New Jersey is a plus; candidates pursuing licensure are also encouraged to apply.
- Proven ability to manage projects, work independently, and lead teams.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience in public speaking or expert testimony.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
