Overview

CREST Engineering Associates Inc. is hiring a Project Surveyor to manage land surveying projects on a full-time, direct basis. This person will work under our Department Manager while assisting with the planning and coordination of a variety of projects. We are seeking a motivated, team-oriented individual with survey knowledge and experience for small-to-large commercial, residential and private sector projects.

Salary Range   $105,000 – $120,000

Responsibilities

  • Conduct boundary, ALTA/NSPS, existing conditions, wetlands and topographic surveys (as well as in support for engineering projects).
  • Aerial and Topographic Surveys Utility locations.
  • Wetland Location Surveys.
  • Prepare field crew for construction layout.
  • Prepare estimates of survey needs/projects.
  • Oversee the survey technicians and ensure jobs are being completed quickly, efficiently and by company standards
  • Schedule field crews while ensuring that project deadlines are met.
  • Develop and maintain public & client relationships.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • NJ Professional Land Surveyor license – or positioned to obtain license
  • Ability to perform Boundary Analysis and assist in Resolution
  • Ability to manage field crews and survey technicians.
  • Experience with various equipment including robotic total stations, GPS, leveling, field procedures, boundary analysis and resolution.
  • Candidate must be organized, self-motivated, require minimal supervision and a good communicator.
  • Ability to manage field crews and survey technicians.
  • Willing to train new employees.
  • Strong knowledge with Autocad CIVIL3D
  • Experience with robotic total stations, GPS, leveling, field procedures, boundary analysis and resolution.
  • Knowledge of field survey operations, engineering and construction industry.
